TVR weights and measures...

Some of us down in the Sagaris, T350 and Tamora section are having a little discussion.
Does anyone have ACTUAL weights for the Tam, Sag, T350(s) and Tuscan(s)? Not the factory ones (people don't trust them), but the actual weights?
So far we have a Tam at roughly 1050kg in crap in boot, petrol in tank etc (I'll check the real figure in a sec!).
Does anyone else have any figures?

Not a particular answer but information about how technical the weights are.
My car failed it MoT on the handbrake and I noted that the u/w was give at 1240kgs. I then found out that all TVRs were given the same weight, that's from Wedges to sagaris. I pointed out that it was 1060kgs according to the handbook and the chap entered it for me and it passed. He said I'd get a pull form VOSA so to head it off at the pass I phoned them.
I spoke to a very helpful chap who said he'd ask the chap who put the entry in to contact me.
Half an hour later he phoned. It seems that he phoned TVR and asked them to send a list of the u/w to them. The women who answered the phone asked him to wait then said that all TVRs were 1240. He was happy to modify the u/ws to the ones I had.
I'm not suggesting that she couldn't be arsed to look it up of course.

Carfolio shows a 2001 Tuscan as 1100kg and a 2003 Sagaris as 1078kg.

Perhaps we should sort a weigh day? Bit like a dyno day except we can find out some truths with the same set of scales and get a decent comparison/ corner weight figures.
If you've already had your car on the dyno, its an interesting extra figure to have - true power to weight can be calculated. I'd be up for it - though I'll either bring a mazda mx5 or the next TVR for us.
Byker, without wishing to belittle the scales you used, thats ridiculously light - If you look at how little there is in Mikes racer - which has just dipped below the tonne, you'll wonder how the rest is 'only' 80 kilos. Most Cerbs come in at the 1200-1270 range with a bit of fuel. Perhaps the scales were a touch optimistic?? Who knows, maybe the MIRA scales/ Brabus HQ scales are pessimistic?? Its the same thing as different dynos again(!), we really all need to get together with the same scales.

Yup, that's correct. Both my Chimaera 500 (now sold) and my Sagaris have 1060kg as their declared weight in their respective handbooks. Edited by JonRB on Monday 17th January 13:07

A weigh day could be fun. I've changed exhaust, manifolds and a few other bits since.
