Classic Cars for sale, January. Page 25 MG Mecca advert. There is an MGR for sale and in the description they say " TVR Basher " is someone having a laugh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the pleasure of driving an MGR about a year ago. Lovely car, however in this context I can safely say yes, someone is having a laugh. Any similar aged V8 TVR would have no worries from my (limited) experience.

Rover V8 firstput into the MGB? I think not.

You'd think Austin Rover online would have heard of a Rover P5B.

Err no. That is not what it says.

Its not the best prose, but it says MG first had it in 1973, not that MG were the first to have it.

I bought my first house in 1981 and the lady accross the road had an MGB with the V8, and it was by no means a new car but not sure of its year.

Hmm, I see what you mean but there are 2 interpretations there. Mine and the one intended.
