Starting after flat battery

Hi - so my fault....a month of no use and the odd start to keep oil pressure up has resulted in a flat battery. The last time I turned it over I heard the relays click but not enough ampage to turn over the engine (so I quickly popped the boot!)

Now I have charged the battery (according to the battery recharger indicator) and am reluctant to remove the battery itself.

With a seemingly recharged battery - I turn the ignition and absolutely nothing happens......not a click, whisper or anything.....

I wonder if the battery going flat has done something to the imobiliser or something that needs to be told that the battery is ok again first?!!

I have owned the car for about 6 months now having spent many months having it restored from a very sorry state (I am in Sydney, Australia and supply is limited!) Fully re-upholstered and reworked but electrics pretty much left as was.

Any ideas welcome.

I Can't see what car it is, but here's what I have had to do in the past with the Chim. Disconnect one terminal of the battery for about 30 seconds. As soon as you reconnect it, press the alarm plipper. This should reset everything for you, and you should be good to go. Good luck down under

Thank you very much! It worked a treat. I remember activating the imboliser (unusually as I know it drains the battery - doh!) and so after charging the battery I needed to fiddle with the connection (Which was a bit loose too) - all starting now - THANK YOU!

Its given me a prod to get out of bed and give mine a run this morning. Just having a cuppa first!

Same here, havent driven the chim for 6 weeks. Just popped her on charge for an hour ready for a lunch time blat !
