Either they're the "wrong SO2", (I believe there were differing types) or they are absolutely ancient!

Just make sure they're SO2 pole position. Normal SO2's are much harder compound and from bitter experience they are hopeless for TVR's

That's what I was referring to above. I think some SO2 were for Porsche rather than TVR.

How does this work, one car one tyre, surely not?

I have the Porsche fitment S02 on the wedge and it sticks to road like st on a blanket.

For a short period TVR fitted the SO2 that was used by Porsche but found that the tyre didn't give enough wet grip. The softer pole position version of the SO2 was developed as a result. Yes there are many specialist cars that have specific tyres developed for them. I think it's a stretch to say the SO2pp was specific for TVR's but TVR did influence its development

ETA, I had the SO2 Porsche tyre on the rear of my Chimaera and hated the lack of wet grip. So much so that I removed them after 6 months in favour of Toyo T1-S.
