Is this the Accumate that I'm looking for?

Hi all.

Now I'm moving to a house with power in the garage I'm after getting an Accumate. I'm slightly baffled by the options available to me, but I think that this is the one that I'm after:

It's an AccuMate Pro 12v-4A - £65 delivered which I didn't think was too bad.

Personally I bought a CTEK XS3600 - this is a great bit of kit - comes with quick connect kit and has 4 stage conditioning. Think it's a little cheaper than the Accumate too ! Various place sell - think I got mine from Amazon

Try Neil at TVR Carparts (01884 266755) he supplied me with one cheaper than that I think.

Or Halfords, got one of their charger/conditioners on both of my TVR's and they work perfectly. £20-odd each.

I got this one together with the Ciggy lighter charging adaptor thingy! Does the job perfectly.

That's a better option than the Pro version if you only need it to keep the battery tip-top. And as you will have a garage that should be the case.

I went for the Ctek, its widely used with the audio boys who have banks of batteries that need charging and reccomend them so they can't be bad

iirc it was about £40-50 delivered from a supplier on ebay

Wait till Lidl/Aldi have them on special, they use the Ctek internals and cost buttons.

I bought my accumate from this retailer over three years ago, highly recommended, works fine on my bike, car and motorhome. Can't see why you would need to spend more, unless it was for use in the motor trade.

Hi Mark, glad to hear the move is going through

I have 2 of the cheap Halfords ones that are always on charge (about £10 each 5 years ago) and one that is a full charger that was about £35, all have worked well for some years.
