TVR car in a liquidation auction !

Being from the other side of the channel I must ask - how does one get a V5 document on a car that doesn't come with one? The Dutch road autorities stopped registering cars that don't come with the full set of paperwork - even if they're barn find antiques or anything like that...

The auction house will supply sales reciept and with that you can apply to the DVLA for an export notice BUT please check do not take my word this is what my pal has just told me !!!

Hi Eric,

You fill out a V62 form and send to the DVLA- there is a section on the form for you to explain why you need the V62 (ie. i bought at auction and no V5 was present, V5 was lost/stolen etc etc).

The DVLA will then i think write to the previous owner telling them that someone has applied for a V5.

Usually takes a while longer than a normal V5 transfer but i got mine back within 3 weeks recently when i did the same.

Very nice car if it goes for 3K or less you can't go wrong. Get a roof get the V5 and double your money :-)

buyer premium on 3k is £450

Judging by the rest of the tat on the site I still reckon this is one to avoid unless it doesn't sell for much more than is being bid currently.
