Paul was struggling taming the power off the line.
It was nudging 100 at the 1/8th in under 8 seconds so 100-130 was taking less than 4, thats the impressive number to me.
There is definatley a high 10 second 1/4 in the Sag.
Big respect to Paul a nice bloke.
Derek, great to meet you and spend some time with you and good to see Anthony having a go and having Grahams company. It was nudging 100 at the 1/8th in under 8 seconds so 100-130 was taking less than 4, thats the impressive number to me.

As you know I am really pleased with the last run of the day.
11.1(3) ¼ mile time
129.63 terminal speed (0 - 130MPH in 11 seconds)
If I could get rid of my lead foot then as you say there is a 10 second run in the car, I am sure someone like yourself with more experience and skill could achieve it.

1/8th = 7.0534
MPH = 100.62
I'm assuming you had to change into 3rd to hit 100mph too - as per when we discussed gearing sometime before (2nd being good for low 90mph)? 1/8th = 7.0534
MPH = 100.62
(In which case it makes the time even more impressive of course
).That far up track, changing to 4th wouldnt make any significant difference.
Altering your other gearchange points might as you find the best place to keep in the torque band.
Its very rare that there is any need to redline or near that to run a best time.
If you have monster torque as you have then use it

...Hi Richard, yes the car will go to just over 90 in second gear so I have to change into third to get to 100, I then keep it in third for the rest of the run. This is why I would need some runs to try things as I think if I changed quick enough fourth might be a good idea?
Great stuff, from working with people using Cartest sim, about 0.8 secs is needed changing gear (could be a tiny bit quicker or slower, dbv8 seems to waggle his T5 very quickly, the TKO being a heftier box must be a tiny bit slower). So really....! :-
Time getting to to 100mph =
5.5 seconds ish accelerating +
1.5 seconds changing gear!
Very very rapid when you look at it like that!

I don't think (guessing) changing to 4th would help, but it depends on how close to the redline in 3rd the car gets as it crosses the line and how much the bhp has dropped at the redline too.
When you have your latest dyno graph (am sure I read you mentioning how the 560bhp dyno published before was out of date) I can feed that into Cartest and it'll calculate the optimum shift points, so you could give that a go at a future time on the strip

Can you give us your full timing slip details from your best runs folks, including 60ft times..
Hi Slinky, If I can get in the office tomorrow I will scan it - if not I will send it to one of my employees as I go to the USA this week.Worried about showing my effort to you - I have the feeling it will not look as good as yours.

Just my 2p worth.
Paul ran a 1.97 to 60 foot on the 11.1 run.
In my opinion if my Chim can do 1.85 and im sure i can improve to 1.7's then so can Paul.
A few tweeks to the suapension settings should be enough then it wouldnt suprise me to see a mid 10 at 135.
Awesome!
Paul what suspension do you have? I invested in 3-way nitrons on the rear for next year so i can optimise the low speed damping.... i hope the expense is worth it

Slinky - as Dereck said
60 foot = 1.9733
1/8 ET = 7.0534
1/8 MPH = 100.62
Dereck, I am on Nitron 2 ways - I think changing the back helped.
This is not my best run - I have Graham Varley in the car with me and as you can tell I wanted to beat the chap next to me pretty bad. Sorry for my language - you only need to watch from 1:01 - I do not have the Mac here to edit the recording

Worried about showing my effort to you - I have the feeling it will not look as good as yours.Panic not chap, your car and ours are two very different things! Just interested to see what sort of numbers you're getting and maybe look at where you could make some improvements if you've got the 1320 bug..
