Steering wheel remote for head unit

I've just changed the Head Unit in mine to one with Bluetooth & iPod control - but it's still quite fiddly while driving along.

Has anyone fitted a remote control to theirs which gives easy control while driving along?

There are plenty of adaptors for the Alpine range for OEM remotes - but they all seem a bit ugly.
