I would like to find out if anyone else has suffered at the hands of Brundle TVR, Kings Lynn, as I have. After having my accident damaged TVR Chimaera repaired by Brundle TVR, they have managed to repair the back end in a non symmetrical manner. Their servicing also leaves a lot to be desired. If anyone else has experience of the poor performance of Brundle TVR, I would be interested to hear from you. You can email me on fffil@hotmail.com

Me. Check out the thread entitled "Engine rebuild *already*" in the Chimaera forum. They're not the most forthcoming dealer when things go wrong. Interestingly, their service operation has transferred from the Toyota part to the Peugeot part, and their sales guy, Mark Aylott (who was great) has now gone elsewhere. Incidentally, anyone know where he is now? Anyway, I think my business is off to TMS: Kerridges is too far off into Norfolk, and TMS seem to be the next closest. They've also been good to deal with on the phone. Philip: drop me an e-mail to chrisATsecure-siDOTcoDOTuk for the full horror story from my end. Everyone on here is probably fed up with hearing it...

Just browsing through the site as I have finally decided ,after several years, to take the plunge and buy an S3. A friend of mine bought a Chim through Mark Aylott (at Brundles I believe) and has passed his details to me - may be of use to you.I believe he's now at the TVR Centre - 0208 440 6666. Hope it helps Andy

I'm also a card-carrying Brundles lover and have e-mailed you with details of why I wouldn't let them get anywhere near my car again. Mike.

I'm off to Brundle TVR with my insurance company in tow (assuming I can get my car there!!). The insurance company refuse to insure the vehicle because I am unhappy with the repair work, Brundle TVR say the repair work is OK and I'm stuck in the middle, probably left out of pocket , all because Robin Brundle and his merry men cannot repair a car symmetrically. If I could post a pikky, I'd show you all. If anyone can host the pikkies, please let me know and I'll show you how c**p Brundle TVR really are.

BRUNDLE-BLOODY HELL!!!They sound like a total NIGHTMARE! W/R to TVR Centre, all I can say is that when I bought my 5 year old Chimp from an independant dealer,it had a complete service history from the TVR CENTRE,with all receipts and it's been terrific with no problems. The car has obviously been serviced properly over it's life.

Hey Mark, glad to hear you're on better territory now. Just as soon as I think I've got all the post-delivery stuff sorted on mine, I'll be off somewhere else too. God how I yearn for that day...

Well, after having met with Robin Brundle, Steve Bailey, Dave Needham and the Insurance assessor, I have had to admit defeat. The insurance guy was about as much help as a wet fart!! He basically said, TVRs are built like c**p. If you want a car that's built well, buy an Audi or BMW, don't cry when things aren't symmetrical or don't match up!! I now have a TVR with a non symmetrical back end, a headlamp that doesn't fit properly and a very VERY pissed off feeling towards Brundle TVR and my insurance company!! If it wasn't for the fact that they are so cheap (yeah but at what cost?) I would go elsewhere!! The cheapest insurance isn't always the cheapest insurance, however, you never think you'll be the one to have to claim!! Lesson learned - Always go to the approved repairers, don't use a company you choose cos the insurance company have no hold over them. If you want to see the pikkies, I've sent them to Graham and Rosie, they should be on the net somewhere!! All I have to do now is sell my Volvo 850 T5 - anyone wanna buy it??

Surely the quality of the repair has nothing to do with the original quality of manufacture???

Philip, there is no way that you should put up with that for a repair!!! My 3 year old could have done better with playdo for filler. Follow this link: http://www.mortgages-online.co.uk/bad_repair.html Cheers Macca Edited by macca on Monday 9th April 23:46

Sorry to hear about your dodgy repair Philip, was the work actually done by Brundle or did they sub it out? I can see your justification in being p***ed off, Im sticking with Kerridges.

The repair was carried out by their own TVR workshop at King's Lynn. After I complained (quite rightly so I hear you all cry) they repaired it a second time but even so, the repair is still not symmetrical. When I raised my concerns, I was told by the insurance engineer inspector bloke that as TVRs are handbuilt, don't expect them to be built to any level of quality or symmetry!! Some advert he was for the insurance company !! Brundle TVR basically said, If I looked down a line of brand spanking new TVRs, I would find differences on every one!! Not much of an advert for his own dealership!!
