Hi all,

Some time ago I created a post asking if anyone had feedback/experiences of MSM Insurance.

As we all know most brokers & insurance companies are very good when they are taking your money so I was more looking for comments from anyone who has needed to claim from them.

It seemed no one had claimed on their MSM policy so the feedback I was looking for wasn't forthcoming.

I went with them anyway as the price & package was excellent (Euro cover, Euro & UK breakdown ect).

I am now in a position to answer my own question, I hope this will help others deciding on who to insure their TVR with.

While on holiday in France an old chap opened his van door into my parked Chimaera creating a small chip in the paint on the O/S wheel arch, I watched him do it.

Nothing major you understand, just a little chip, so I approached him and pointed out what he had done, I was ready to accept an apology and forget the whole thing.

But he cut up rough and was extremely rude, so I pressed the issue & after threatening him with the police he reluctantly completed the insurance form all French drivers are obbliged by law to carry.

On my return I informed MSM and they were absolutely brilliant, I have been dealing with Janet and she has taken all the hassle out of the claim for me.

With it being an international claim even though MSM were on my side I didn't hold out much hope of a satisfactory resolution.

Yesterday I received a call from Janet saying the French insurer is accepting liability on behalf of their client.

So my Chim is off to Blackpool to see the boys at Surface & Design, they say they will more than likely paint the whole rear quarter.

Remember MSM are a broker, so the claim is handled by the insurer.

In my experience some brokers really aren't interested in doing any more than giving you the numbers of the insurance company and telling you to get on with it.

Not so MSM, they look after their customers properly and do everything in their power to make sure your claim is managed correctly.

So a big thumbs up for MSM, I can thoroughly recommend them.

Good feedback!
It's great when you get service as described.

Good tip regards the standard form that French drivers have to carry - I didn't know that.
