Excuse needed!

Hi all I get wed Saturday to Lisa and have booked a few days away in the Cotswalds (taking the Tiv of course!) to let it all sink in before we go to the States in September.
All well and good but I have discovered ‘coincidentally’ the place I have booked on Sunday night is only 15 miles away from TVR Power.
On the Monday I fancy a trip to see Dom to have a look at his facilities as I have never been to Power before which has created a bit of a dilemma..
What excuse can I use to get a pass for this jolly the day after my nuptuals?
I have considered..... ‘Love me love my car’ jump in lets go see Dom
OR draw reference to the OBAY command from the proceeding a day earlier....
Something a little more cunning my be in order but I am not sure what. How do YOU get a pass to play out for all things TVR related.

Start like you mean to go and just tell her you want to go out to TVR Power so you are going out to TVR Power...end of.
I'm off home now to do the ironing before the boss gets back.

Go out for a lovely romantic drive with your good lady, basking in the glory of your recent nuptuals (which coincidentally takes you in the direction of POWER of course), fake a juddery throttle or ignition problem a few miles before the garage and 'suddenly' realise that:
'hang on, I think there's a decent TVR garage in the local area, lets pull in and get things quickly checked, I'm pretty sure its just a wire, no doubt the lads will sort it in a jiffy given the circumstances............'
Quick natter to Dom that 'Mum's the word' and extend the 5 mins to whatever you can get away with, driving away in your 'fixed' P&J.
Simples.

Am I missing the point here..........what are you expecting to see at TVR Power? Its a lock up unit with a workshop full of strange looking tools,a service area with a few cars in bits and upstairs rows of shelving of boxed up bits!!!!
Doms Sag so he can sell me a new lump for my Tam next year for starters and it also lets me get a feel for how they function as a business and 'value' thier customers. With so many TVR specialists now the bias is towards the customer for who they want to give their business to. Its not just about price for me but how the service provider develops a relationship with their client.
