Car inspection services

Hi,

Can anyone recommend someone to inspect a car (Tuscan) or 2 for me in and around Lancashire?

Personally I wouldn't trust him with a Fiesta let alone a S6 Tuscan.

OP - find a respected Indie nearby the car you ant to look at and get it booked in for an inspection on the ramps. If all checks out then also consider paying the extra for the top to be taken off the engine and a brief inspection to the valves.

We all have our own opinions i can only speak from my experience's , personally there are a few indies i wouldn't trust as far as i could through them!!!!!

Although sound advice by Zippee, im sure it would be better and cheaoer to have a indie give it the once or twice over. I too am looking to taking the plunge into SP6 ownership shortly

Agree with the above. There are plenty of good indies near Lancs who can provide a great inspection service. Track V Road have a great reputation.

I fully agree and as per yourself I can only speak from personal experience and those of friends, at the same time it's always worth giving a balanced view. Like yourslef theres also a few indies I'd never touch.

OP - the best advice I can give with inspection services is this;
It's easy to inspect a good car and pass it off with a clean bill of health, thereby gaining praise from the client. However, the real money comes from finding the problems and dogs that the layman can't spot and warning the client away.

Believe me it needs to be up on a ramp for an inspection to be worth anything, there are plenty of things to be missed during a walkround the car and a 10 minute drive.

Yes. This is what I was wanting to avoid. When I got my current car, I didn't do much more than that myself. There were no ramps available and my head is way too big to fit under the car. I was sooooooooooooo lucky, as it could have turned out to be a complete wreck.
