Mmmmm TVR - from Z4

Hi,

I currently drive a Z4 3.0 as a second play car Unfortunately, i've just got back from Les Mans Classic and fell in love with my exhaust (remus) and the petrol head thing, people looking at your car etc, with a load of petrol head friends, including Tuxman on here and they have convinced me to get a proper play car, so I am thinking either a Tuscan or a T350 (Targa).

We saw both out there, loved the styling on them..and the exhaust...

I know there might be a little more work involved, and i'm not the most mechanically minded, although have done a few things on my Z4 to upgrade it etc.

I guess im looking for something a little different Alternative is to stick with Z :/ or upgrade to a Z4 M.

I've checked out Racing Green and Str8six as well as the classifieds here, so subject to selling my Z asap, i should be ready to look later in the year. I think a test drive is in order as well, so might get in touch with both, or see if anyone is at Kimbolton this weekend for the car event.

Definately go for a test drive see what you think. Be sure to report back.

Both the TVR and BMW are both powerfull RWD sports cars, the TVR however is much more raw. No traction control means you actually have to drive it. As a second car you just cannot beat the occasion of a TVR. But then we would say that as you are in the TVR forum. I am sure if you posted the same question in the BMW forum there would be lots of comments about unrelaible plastic cars that smell of glue. Horses for courses.

I'll be at the Kimbolton car show on Sunday with my Silver Tuscan S. I'm visiting the parents this weekend, who live in Whittlesey, and thought I catch the Kimbolton show with the TVR Cambs crowd on the way back to my gaf. My Dad owns an immaculate imperial blue Griff 500 with a sleeved exhaust if you ever see/hear it around. Feel free to collar me at the show if you'd like to have a chat and I could take you out for a spin should you wish

The Tuscan is going on the market shortly incidently, due to me moving to Australia in September.

Brief details are it's just had a TVR Power full spec rebuild inc uprated starter motor and battery (July 2010) and will come with a 3 year warranty, new clutch and flywheel October 2009, new Nitron suspension June 2009, dipped and main beam xenons... the list goes on...
