From what I have read & been told by the experts on the Wildcat engine:- the power, strength & reliablity of these engines are excellent! - however the components are not cheap (as you may already be aware). Plus you have to use profiled pistons to suit the Wildcat heads.
Fitting one of these units was a dream I was once chasing, I ended up with a V8 Development built engine with a Wildcat spec bottom end - I came to the realism that I could not afford the £4000 + extra for the Wildcat heads, throttle bodies & fabricated exhaust manifolds.
P.s - I used an alternative forged type piston in my set up - hence I still have a set of Wildcat / Ross pistons to suit the heads if you need them (for a few bear tokens).
