Chimm Clutch master cylinder

Can I use a Landrover defender Clutch Master Cylinder on my 97 Chimm, is the connection to the pipe the same thread.

Stuck in France and need a replacement..There is a dealer down the road :-))

The pipe union is definitely TVR specific.
Can't remember if you can remove the coupling from the old master cylinder.

You can definitely still get the seal replacement kits - so that might be worth an ask? (How's your French?). You might get one of those couriered out.

Glad to help, I am fairly certain the Landrover defender Clutch Master Cylinder will not be suitable.

The LHD Triumph TR6 one I linked you will solve your problem for sure.

The bottom mounting bolt can be a pig to get at.

IMPORTANT: Make sure your new cylinder is filled to the brim with fluid.

The Girling cylinders were designed to me mounted horizontally, on the Chimaera TVR mounted it at an angle.

This means that the port is exposed if the fluid drops much below brim full, the exposed port will then draw air not fluid and the system will need bleeding again.

I try to buy all my parts from the UK, there are some dealers who sell Triumph parts but the prices here you need a bank loan. Hence I try to find the best price but not so low it is a c**p product.
French I can just about get by now with simple phrases and words. I have a friend who races Porsche and Lola cars, I work with her husband but I get no favours when it comes to help, I get charged the going rate.. That is what I miss about the UK everyone tried to help each other not rob the ass off you. I raced 4X4 for 15years and I was glad to help anyone but I never asked for anything other than a smile and return the favour to another racer some day..
