I was originally going to put this in the Tuscan forum but actually maybe there is some value in comparing Tuscans to previous TVRs……

I’m really struggling to justify my Tuscan at the moment, hardly use it as I currently cycle to work and am about to start a long commute not really suitable for TVR mpg.

I bought the Tuscan to ‘scratch the TVR itch’ and I don’t really feel I’m quiet done!

My only consolation is that I bought my TVR at the bottom of the market and prices actually seem to have gone up and judging by Autotrader and PH I reckon I could at least break even after 2 years (not inc running costs)…which is excellent.

My question is do you reckon Mk1 Tuscans will appreciate or depreciate by this time next year?

I have recently bought a cheap Mk1 Elise which seems to be growing in value by the day – will Tuscans head that way?

The new engine options out there can only be a good thing for all the Sp6 cars I assume.

Supply and demand i think, a good one with FTVRSH will not go down a great deal more....

I can't see them depreciating much more tbh. Not sure I agree on S.1 Elise prices though. I sold mine (an S.1 111S) a couple of years ago and, looking at the classifieds, reckon I could buy something similar for less than I sold mine for then.

They will at least remain stable, but they produced too many for them to appreciate much in the short term. Very low volume ones, Sport 160, S.1 Exige etc, are a slightly different case, but they have already found their level.

If it is in excellent condition and a colour/interior that doesn't frighten horses.
long term UP..

low volume, reasonably straightforward to look after, unique looks, low volume, supercar..

20 years time a definite classic.

How about a 'normal' condition one with a few paint chips, grey leather interior, and antique turquiose paint.....oh, and selling in about a year?!?!?
