Does anyone have experience changing a griff 500 from RHD to LHD. My friend in Holland is a big TR6 fan/owner, but would also like to get a Griff 500. However the cost in Holland is very high. He believes it would be cheaper to buy over here, import back and get converted.

I have not actually done one my self but I would say the hardest & most expensive part would be sourcing a LHD dash & steering rack - like hens teeth I imagine. Once he has those parts the rest is obviously straight forward relocation of battery, ECU, Pedal Box, Servo & pipework etc.

I am now chancing my own rhd car to lhd and have also mould for lhd dash.
If you have plans to do this it is better to make same time body off restauration.
Easier to do that way and same time get chassis, brakes etc. fixed.
I have plan to start to do work or parts for customers also.

Hi Kostaja,

Thanks for the private e-mail which I have forwarded on to Hans in Holland and copied you on.

Best wishes

Let’s face it Nick, I am surprised that Hans would ever sit in a Griff again after you took him on that spin when he came to the club meet.

Whenever we talk about the tvr's his face always lights up and smiles and he says "that was a pretty fast ride he had with you” a bit faster than the TR6.
