Knights in shining armour!!
Discussion
Just wanted to say thanks to all the great people at VW today who helped when my Griff caught a cold.
It was the 100amp fuse to the battery that had blown, leaving me stranded, unable to open the boot in quick time to put the roof on (just as it started to rain), or of course to start the car or get at my limited tool kit
So, the good guys - Psychobert (a gentleman as always), Shnozz, Edt for doing the boot thing while we were searching for tools, the really nice chap who offered me his roof cover to keep the insides dry until I could get to the roof, various people who contributed tools, Joolz who did the diagnostics on the end of the phone and offered to wait at the workshop all Sunday afternoon for if I had to put the car on a transporter. And last but most definitely not least...RACING GREEN, who came across with their techy bloke, did a fix and offered to go and open up their workshop to replace the fuse for me.
To you all - thanks, it's an honour to know you.

Missed you but got some pics of the car, nobody aroud at the time.
I saw the pics - very nice, you've picked up the super-shine! It had been rained on when you saw it but BCA noticed the difference straight away when I got it out of the garage. Sorry I missed you - went in to the pub to warm up and get something to eat.
The way people rallied round was brilliant - real community spirit

Caught a cold....my arse!
I reckon you purposely substituted a blown fuse, batted those eyelids, adopted a Penelope Pitstop like demeanour and subsequently lapped up all that close male attention.

Busted!
The alternative theory is that you crept in, undid the battery bolts and broke the fuse in half just to punish me for buying it from someone else
Why do they always have to do it in public? It's not like it's a massive fault on a 9 year old car, but I was cringing at the prospect of the 'ooh, aren't they unreliable' brigade turning up. Fortunately they didn't, because I'd have had to lamp them, in true fluttery Penelope Pitstop fashion

G;ad top have almost helped. Thats 3 different TVRs I'd had my tools out for this weekend, and my strike rate of getting them into the state they need4ed to be in was precisiely 0.
Excellent day all round though.
Some fantastic people there, (and the cars were pretty good too).
And I demonstraed to a few folks that I'm not always pissed as a newt and babbling incoherently.
