Well, as so many people seem to think that Saab is the bees knees, maybe we should ask Ted to start a forum for them. James

Got an old generation saab 900 turbo (1987), works like a swiss watch with more than 230'000 Km's on the clock. I think I will always drive a saab turbo as a first, as toy i have a yamaha YZF 1000R but the yamaha must go (my girl wants so, i know that's a bit sissy from my side) the ultimate alternative is a tvr. I hope to buy one next year (the resale values are on a high level here in Switzerland). hakan PS: Saab driver's are very tolerante and frindly but the most important: they are enthusiasts too, tvr driver's

Had a SAAB9000 once which was great for long distances until the engine blew bigstyle one day. Total carnage under the hood as the crankshaft made a break for freedom, aided by 4 willing helpers!!! After the engine was replaced my wife took off in it and I havent seen her since, so it wasn't all bad?!! Anyway, I would have another if they still made them, which they don't, GM now make SAAB's and they are not the same. Tea-V-Aaargh
