Lambda Sensor Removal

Any advice regarding the size of box spanner required to remove the Lambda sensors from Chim /Griff?

Depends what you are planning. Permanent removal will require re-chip and other stuff - and begs the question why?

To replace I think you just disconnect and unscrew (might be over simplifying here)replacement is a direct reversal of the above

Not removing the sensors just replacing, the sensors are recessed into the manifold, the lead is bonded to the sensors & therefore cannot be disconnected.
I shall be using a slotted box socket to remove them, however need to know the size of the required socket?

Got one in the boot of the car (which hopefully is still in the garage at home) I'll try and remember to have a look, write it down and post in the morning
For some reason when I had them replaced they kept coming loose for the 1st few weeks
of course this being a TVR part we're talking about theres no being sure your nuts are the same size as my nuts

If you get a chance to check the size that would be great, did you fabricate the tool or was it an off the shelf item?

DIY Jobbie, I think it might have been an old sparkplug socket, but whatever it was just cut a slot down one side of it to clear the wire

Right then.........
The one I've got is a modifyed 11/16 A/F socket.
It's got a nut welded to the top so you can turn it with an open ended spanner, and a slot down the side of the whole lot to clear the wire, it's also drilled down the middle enough to clear the body of the sensor, hope that helps, but if I was you I'd try to measure the sensor A/F with something as it may be different
