.....who looks at the spotted forum after a drive?

I drive mine every day through inner and outer London as well as further afield. I have a PH sticker, I make lots of noise, I've been on major motorways and on Sunday me and the Mrs drove along the packed coast road in Brighton. On that trip we saw plenty of other 'PH' cars and one Porsche even lowered the passenger window as they passed and gave me a thumbs up.

All this and have I been spotted? Have I fk

Maybe one day.....I didn't realise that a spot could mean so much!!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed how busy the spotted forum is after a sunny day.

Mine's been spotted twice, but one was when it was being taken for MOT by Sportmotive.

I have had 2 or 3 spotteds.
Always a delight. Best one was the 'loudest cerb ever' spot.

Never ceases to amaze me - have been up and down M1 from Sheffield to London, driven around London for a few days, back again - nothing, nadda, nope.....

.... one way to get spotted is to overtake another PH member while they're in their "normal" car (eh, Gazzab???). That get's you a text message!

I had quite a few when I used to drive the Cerb about, mainly from local Pher's.... I still check the forum for other members that I may know, It's a good way of meeting other local people in your area.

That reminds me, there's a green Chim in my area that I keep seeing about will have to see if they are a pher!! most of the spotted's that i've posted about though have not even acknowledged it, so probably don't read this forum!

Often see other TVR's around, there are quite a few round here, but don't think I have ever got a spotted in over 100 months.

Yep always have a quick look. I've had 3 or 4 since I've owned the car. Stragely quite satisfying when you get a 'spotted' !!

Maybe there is a black market here, fake spots for a tenner a time with additional quotes of 'the noisiest I've ever heard' or 'the shiniest ever I've ever seen' or 'exceedingly well driven' being an extra fiver

The d*mn thing must be invisible, since I've never been "spotted". And it's not like it's shy and retiring;



And I've only ever had one response to a "spotted" I've posted.

I do and in over 5 years and 40'000 miles of TVR ownership have only ever had about 2 spotteds. Not counting ForthrightMC who lives in the same town as me and seems to camp out on street corners waiting for TVRs to pass.
I also very rarely spot another TVR when out in mine, though bizarely will often do so if out in my wifes car (saw you Garlick BTW in the Rapide on Sunday).

I have however, been browsing the phtos on the supercar spotters thread and seen pics of my T350 parked up.

I've been spotted 2 or 3 times and Arebrec, you were one of them, Dartford tunnel

Given that during the bike racing season especially we're out in the Griffith for most Sundays travelling up and down the country you do get very few.

However, on the flip side, I don't tend to post Spotted's myself as so few people respond, so can hardly blame anyone else for not posting them

Is there not some functionality that could be built in that identified the owners through PH. Discreet obviously, by colour, marque and model, then you'd get notified . . . You'd have to volunteer to have your details held somewhere discreet and be prepared to accept the ackowledgement or not.
Some how thru your profile. Taking it a stage further you'd start mapping where and when

Details of where and the when would mean the individual spotted would be able to acknowledge it was them?

Been spotted once last summer....I was very chuffed.

I looked yesterday after the car had been picked up and taken by Trimar on their loader!

You have to check though if it was my daily I wouldn't but a weekend run, it feels great getting back and someone has made the effort to say. I sore a great (insert your car) today.
