I am not an absolute TVR historian but in my opinion....
Tuscan came out in 2000 ish time.
Mk2 Tuscan came out 5 yrs later I guess.
Tamora came out in 02 ish time.
Both models are very fast. The Tamora was the start of TVRs better handling out the box TVRs.
The Tamora was sold in small numbers. The looks weren't to everyones taste. In the right colour with the right wheels they look ok to me.
The Tuscan is an ever popular model. The Mk1s had some infamous handling characteristics that needed attention through aftermarket shocks (IMHO).
Both cars have the Speed 6 engine. If you are buying then look carefully into the S6 engines history, buy with your eyes open, the later the model the better (or a recent rebuild)......
As with all TVRs they are tempremental, they can cost a fair amount to run, they arent great every day cars etc....
Find one that has been well loved, from an 'known' owner etc and you should be ok. Get someone like Raceproved to inspect it.

taylor8, TVRs are fantastic cars really are fantastic, I would encourage you to get one I am on my second one after a Tuscan MK1. BUT please do as much research on hear as possible before you get one, you can learn loads by spending a few nights searching the threads. TVRs are as fast as a ferrari or a Porsche, cheaper to buy in most cases but that does not mean they are cheaper to run. So buy carefully know what to look for and you willl have a ball.
Or take the alternative approach look at the first one you see and turn in to a blubbering wreck and hand over your cash as quick as you can, totally forgetting to check the bits you had been warned about!! I did this with my Tuscan and I had it for 18months without a bit of bother...Lucky well yes ,but not an aproach I would reccomend...

i too did this when i found the colour combo i was looking for, i, on the other hand had a "bit of bother" with mine but i went in eyes open and still have the car of my dreams in the colour i wanted 2 and a half years on George

The TVR Car Club forums do get less traffic than PH but still a useful source of information. http://www.tvr-car-club.co.uk. Need to be a member to get full access but membership brings added benefits - IMO.
