You mean the man who argued with anyone who said it could be done and as soon as it was evidenced he didnt say anything at all!? http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?mem...
Gazzab.............. how stupid are you.
Pages and pages of information. All about the exhaust system
But you still talk crap!
FACT.
It was not that the LS engine would or would not fit into the chassis rails.
It was.......... the LS engine will not fit the "T" chassis without a CUSTOM built exhaust manifold set.
When I started the project it was stated at the VERY BEGINING that it was to be affordable and to use off the shelf parts. NOT a custom built manifold set....because of the price.
Hence the use of the SBC and NOT the LS motor.
Go back and read again.
The manifolds which I first used where off the shelf items from Headman Hedders in the States. These manifolds can be used with the SBC motor and will clear the chassis of the "T" car with no modifications whatsoever.
If I had fitted the LS motor into the "T" chassis, ( Which by the way I did. Have you? ) there where no off the shelf manifolds which would have achieved that. And indeed no one yet has found any.
Go and read the 2nd or 3rd thread down in Major Mods about the guy who has an LS in a "T" chassis.
Guess what?
He is now building a very complex custom set of exhaust manifolds to clear his chassis.
So next time........... before your mouth runs off, get it right.

You have such a endearing way about you.
Listen I didnt mention exhausts and such like I simply referred back to YOUR posts that say the engine wont fit but as soon as photos were shown to evidence you seemed unwilling to comment. As you would say - "FACT".
We all know you that you know your onions and have built some interesting cars but please stop shouting its a bit embarrasing.

Wrong!
I said that the engine will not fit with off the shelf manifolds and no chassis cutting.
NOT that the engine would not fit between the chassis rails.
Of course it will fit the chassis rails.....almost any engine will.
What is the point of that and no manifolds?
Do not complain to me if you start the snide remarks aimed at me and I respond.
Think before you type.
You could have asked me to respond to new developments taking place instead of being snide. By you made the choice to attack me.

I am having a LS7 fitted into my Sagaris by Topcats racing. They use LS engines in their race cars and have doen conversions before. Give me a PM and I can get you a sensible conversaton with the main person there so at least you can start to explore with no pressure.
Paul.......
For the cost difference, why didn't you just go the LS3 with a few modifications route? LS7's are a lot of money for what you get compared to LS3 or even LS1/2's with mods.Paul.......
Yep. Next car in the queue is a Tuscan.
Not quite as easy as the Cerbera transplant and there are a lot of interesting challenges which have nothing to do with the chassis and how wide the engine is but nevertheless it can be done. It's bit more than the Cerb at around £8500 ish + VAT but a lot depends on what rev of Tuscan or T car it is.
