Car Cleaning In London

What do people do about cleaning their P&Js in London?

Living in flats with underground parking and limited outside space, it's difficult for me to clean it myself.

I find myself travelling back to family in the country to wash it sometimes!

Have tried that dry-clean liquid, it was ok, but don't trust the lack of lubrication.

Don't really like letting other people do it either.

When I lived in a flat with underground parking I'd either wash it in the carpark with a couple of buckets of water, or drive it outside and do it there. Or find a petrol station with a Jetwash.

Is it advisable to use a jetwash on a TVR

I'd certainly steer clear of a carwash, even a Jetwash only by necessity. Frankly, the Eastern European money laundering operation near me does a fantastic job.

No reason why not, just don't direct the jet at the seals, especially the light clusters.

You seem to have a grey car, probably doesn't show up the scratches from these kind car washing types

yes not too keen on jetwashes unless you can adjust the pressure.
and no way do i trust those guys in the supermarkets who drop their black sponges on the floor and then continue washing people's cars!
I have literally seen rings on this black focus walking past them before...

BMW 400 "Steel Grey", though I always think of it as "Gun Metal". She'd be a shade darker than yours in clear daylight, I reckon.

I agreea with Targarama" Frankly, the Eastern European money laundering operation near me does a fantastic job.".

I pay £ 5.00 or £ 7.00, i do not even remeber, to the Eastern European guys that run a hand clean joby just by Kentish Town tuve station and they was teh Chimaera whiel I am sitting in it...

They used to was my KTM (motorbike), they was my girlfreinds Figaro, they was the Chim and honestly for the little money I pay they do a grand job...

I have newer had an iddue exept a few drops of water in the inside of teh car because there is a tiny gap between teh top of the window and room (issue that should be sorted next week when teh car is back from teh service & MOT session and teh guys will have sorted out a few bit and pieces...).

If you pay more they offer a full valet service, and honnestly, for what yo pay it's great value!

Only I clean TVR, but the local eastern european guys operation do a great job of the Primera. Inside and out for £12, brilliant after rugby or muddy dog walks.
