Adjustable Pedals

Morning

I can't get myself far enough into the footwell to see how to adjust the pedals, so I'm going to have to send Mrs Dai Capp on a mission with a spanner. Now whilst I don't feel guilty about this as the adjustment is so she can drive it I'd like to give her some idea of what to do!

It's a Cerbera with Leven pedals, can anyone provide a nice straight forward guide on how to adjust them so I can watch the rugby in peace while Mrs Dai Capp does the DIY

looking at the leven catolouge, it would seem as if the pedal has a long threaded bolt out of the back of it with a couple of lock nuts???....would think that by loosening one and adjusting the other will increase/or decrease the pedal distance.....pick up an adjustable and get out there now Man!...theres at least an hour or two before kick off....

However, I have a certain reputation with anything involving DIY, if I go within 100 feet of the car with a spanner the engine may well fall out...

Best access route is to lie backwards on the seat with head down the footwell and dangle your legs between the seats. Don't forget to place all tools and torch down there before you assume the position. Always best to tackle this with an accomplice or a mobile phone - in case you get stuck, as wriggling out again can be tricky (and you probably don't want to have the local fire brigade over to convert your Cerbie to a Chim )

If you haven't already done it then here goes.

Put lamp and adjustable wrench in the footwell. Put the seat back (reclined) as far as it will go. Sit facing backwards in the seat with one leg outside and other astride the tunnel. Manouvre head into footwell and you will see each pedal has a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut and unscrew the pedals as required. Tighten lock nut.
Getting out is the reverse of getting in!!!!

Yep, this works for clutch and brake. I adjusted my clutch a bit as described above and it's now much easier to make smooth changes. It will probably scrape against the carpet on the tunnel as you turn the pedal to adjust it, but that's too bad. Be sure to tighten the lock nut properly afterwards or you'll find it gradually rotating in use! I think I got to mine by lying in the open doorway, half on the ground and half in the car...
