Would be great to see a more back to basics car from TVR something like the S for sub £25k.

It can't happen, it's impossible for them to compete with the likes of the S2000 and standard boxter IMHO

Im not suggesting that they do try to compete with the S2000 or Boxster.

Have TVR honestly ever tried to compete with anything?

Thats the beauty, they do what they want, not what other people think they should.

I just think it would be great to see TVR's take on the 'budget' roadster.

I'm with Matthewbins...

there'd be an order from me if they produced one...

doesnt need to compete with s2000 or Boxster...

just needs to look good, be light and have a ballsy engine.

I agree with JakeR. S2000 and Porksters are 0/3 on that score

Sadly (for my budget), I think TVR are moving upmarket...something about building a £70k car takes about the same time as a £20k car. Would be nice tho...

Costs can't have risen that much. The first griffs were low £20k's, The S even less.

When was the S release, early 80's

Wages alone have risen massively since then.

Hes after the 911 market, competing with Porsche and Caterham makes no sense at all...

Going after new markets is good but don't forget what put you where you are.
