TVR makes business a pleasure
Discussion
I had three meetings to attend today, starting early in the morning and I decided to take the Chimaera. I must admit that the rain didn't give the best start to the day as I got soaked taking the Leven off, but undaunted I set off for the first appointment.
Its odd but just rumbling along made the boredom of a long journey bearable, and I enjoyed the smiles from other road users too!
Arriving at my meetings everyone asked 'Is that your TVR I heard arrive?' and we spent the first 5 mins chatting about it.
OK, I had some issues. The odometer stopped working and it's filthy (the wipers are still crap too), but after 12 hours we returned home happy.
Forget your Mondeos, if you need to get around the country for a few meetings, take a TVR

I took mine to appointments once or twice and it's certainly an icebreaker with the right kind of people (of which unsurprisingly there are rather a lot in 'our' business sector
). On one occasion, all of the office were seeing me out at the end of the day just to hear the engine start up.

Couldn't agree more. When there's not so much salt and s
te on the roads I've taken the Cerb to a few business meetings. No matter how badly the meeting goes, you can still walk out with a smile on your face, 'cos you get to drive the TVR home......
Even up and down the motorway from Sheffield to central London (as long as I know where I can park it safely) - makes every journey a better one: for me driving the car, and also doing my bit to cheer up the masses by showing them what a beautiful car looks like
Only problem is, I tend to take the MUCH longer A and B road options over the motorway, therefore it tends to end up being a much longer jouney!!!!

I'll bet your Odometer is on something ending with lots of 9's
What was the significance of that?
Mine never stopped but I know a few that did.
We know - everyone now tracks you progress on

Leven wipers - big tick, a definite upgrade.
RainX - useless as soon as you switch on your wipers which with salt etc you'll need to do and then you'll need to re-apply it. Waste of money and I don't ever bother these days. Great for track work when you can get away without and don't want wipers on but when I used my Griffith as my everyday car a waste of time, effort and money.

Funny, As I worked in the flightdeck (cockpit for the politically incorrect
) today I watched two guys apply it to the 'windscreen' of a 767... seems to work pretty well on there, and their wipers are really agricultural (something to do with the breeze...)Mike

Agree with both comments.RainX - useless as soon as you switch on your wipers which with salt etc you'll need to do and then you'll need to re-apply it. RainX is fine when you don't use the wipers but they squeal and wipe badly once you have used them a few times.
I've tried them on the Tiv, the BMW and the Mini and it's the same problem.
Hmm I only really put it on when I wash the car so in Summer I just put it on once a week and don't have any problems with it. Wipers on or off. If you leave it for a couple of weeks though, the thin film starts to come off and you can see the holes it leaves as the film breaks down. In winter though I just don't wash the car so I don't bother. Strangely it seems to rain more in summer though so this works quite well!
