You're right, of course. Although I had a tiny pang of hope and a romantic vision of a new era when I first saw it but that soon disappeared when the cat meowed to go out and all was suddenly back to normal. But hey, you never know but hearing the name Oxley still floating around doesn't help my rose tinted speccies.
I spoke to "The man from Multipart" who was organising all the transporters( paid for in advance) to take the bits away and he said they were destined to go to Bulgaria, where production would restart.However, I understand Germany has also been stated as the final destination. What would seem clear is that something is planned, if it comes to fruition is a different matter.

There has been a sudden number of threats of legal action against some companies in the TVR supply world. Something must have set this off. I've heard of intense negotiations with the 'sole UK distributor'.
My considered opinion is that there have always been plans. The question is whether there is any real desire or motivation to put them into action. And even if there is, is there the ability to manage the process?

However, the longer it goes without a car wearing it being produced the less it is worth. The five years since Wheeler sold the marque - the time it stopped being a producer of cars - have taken their toll. But that said, the interest is still there. The TVRCC is in rude health. A new model would be featured in all the motoring mags and, no doubt, the lifestyle rags, as most still know the name. But for how much longer?
The clock is ticking on the value of the badge.
It is an economic truth that a company actually producing something is easier to sell and at a higher price than one that just has potential.

Fingers crossed something actually happens and TVR cars are built in future in some shape or form. I have no issue with car being built in Eastern Europe, so long as they have the 'Spirit of Driving' and some level of dealer backup. I beleive that even the new Aston Martin is being built somewhere out there.
Leaving my cynicism to one side, all the above makes sense.
A fair number of manufacturers have popped up (many on Pistonheads) advertising a new low-volume supercar. Noble have gone bonkers with their 200k car. Lee Noble has the Fenix for £100k ish etc etc so maybe the TVR 'Speak n Spell' which currently does the ideas is thinking it's got a market to crack.
However, i've seen less false starts with my own car so there just seems to be such a vast amount of faff getting something into gear and keeping it there.

I fail to see how they expect to be taken seriously when the name was being offered to a third party only just before Christmas.....
Apart from just plain cynicism I wonder how they're going to build cars (I assume Tuscans and Sagari) when they don't have a proper build list/manual, suppliers or indeed anyone who knows how they went together?
