Detail My Ride

After seeing a good write up in this month's Sprint, I am looking to get a detail done on my Griffith.

Any reccomendations on Detail My Ride?

Do it your self or pay someone to do it?

I do all the polishing but not brave enough to use the machine with the likes of the G3 products the good detailers use yet i will be buying my own machine soon and having a go on my old volvo first before i go near the chim, but a good clay bar and good polish then wax can make your car really shine, this is a pic of mine after about 10 hours worth of deatiling myself. for a show last year.



Then just a pic of when it was only clean and washed





you can see the diffrence it can make the best one i have seen in age's is the LS cerb on here when it was at the PH show it is spotless after its detail, there was a thread running a few weeks ago on it.

bought a porter cable polisher from the states and a 110v transformer from screwfix, cheap as chips...

Cheers Mark, most of my mate's and Girlfriend think i am sad git but i do quite enjoy trying my hand at detailing

Forgot to add its Meguiar's NXT stuff i am really in to just now works well and easy to work with.

Has any one on here used the dodo juice products and if so how do they like them easy to work with?
I fancy giving them a try after i use my megs stuff up.

Have used the Dodo Juice products on my Tuscan S since new, very good results and easy to use.

i had my cerb done by gaz at detail my ride the end of last year. really nice guy and done a really good job.

Really nice stuff to work with. I've been using it for over two years now and it's all I use now. Seriously recommend the Supernatural wax, looks expensive but if you apply it with your fingers it goes on brilliantly.

Well waiting on bad weather offshore and E-bay makes for a sore wallet, Bought up some dodo jucie products should be waiting at home for me when i get back in a couple of weeks or so, Spent a lot of time on Detailing world too really good fourm now thinking about getting a DA and get serious polishing, think i have OCD.


I must be sad i cant wait to clean and polish the car
