The first one is 30th March/1st April. Regarding the Tuscan R's, let's just say that the Mole Valley/Rollcentre team will have last year's Cerbera fully prepared for the beginning of the season, whilst they wait for the Tuscan R.

Shorty is still hoping that the Tuscan R will be ready for the first race. They're confident it'll be delivered in time, but they want to make sure that they've had a chance to fully shake it down before they run it. Knowing TVR's track record (no pun intended) the car will probably turn up at Shorty's place the day before the race meeting, or the morning of qualifying. Given the choice between a completely unproven car, and something which was competitive last season and has been extensively developed over Winter, I know which car is the sensible choice. James

Was the R shown at the usto sport show a real car or a mock up for the mira wind tunnel tests... I did like the covered front lights...

The supposed "first Tuscan R to be delivered" was actually the wind tunnel model. Shorty was planning on leasing the Cerbera out for the season, but he'd kept it back for the first couple of races just in case he needed it. The reason it was blue when you last saw it was for a bit of publicity for Deutsch Bank (the teams major sponsor). It was doing the rounds of all their offices as part of a promotion. Since the end of last season, the Cerbera has been completely stripped, redesigned, rebuilt, fitted with lightweight body panels, and been in the wind tunnel. It should be a lot quicker than it was last season. James Edited by James on Thursday 1st March 15:47

I don't think people wanted to make the trek, when there was no opportunity for serious testing. It was not the most exciting launch I have been too. The Blower Ultima has just been finished and looks superb. I know Ted does not like the TVR in white, but due to Scania changing their alegence to Lister, a new livery is planned
