Tuscan race/road cars!

Hi

I am looking at getting a Tuscan Race car which has been made road legal!
Has anybody any idea how many of these beast's are there?

There's a few out there but it's difficult to know how many 'cos they've all been done privately as the factory didn't officially convert them. A couple are for sale in the classifieds here at the mo.

I have bean talking to Perry about his, but still would like to work out/find out how many and who has them! It must be a select crowd!
TVR Mads car is to mad for me! I am looking at finding an original racer Rover V8 powered As I already have a AJP powered car. (Cerbera) Perry's car fit's that bill. He has sold one last week!

To my knowledge, there must be somewhere around 10 converted cars. There are a couple down in the Bristol area both running AJP8's (Richard?) and Grant (Chuggaboom No.29 Ex Hawthorns car). I've seen a couple for sale from Scotland over the last year or so, then there's the beautiful looking TVRolet from Scotland, an early yellow one with a weird rollcage conversion (RV8 powered), and the grey Chevy 6.6 v8 powered one currently for sale. Donkey's years ago I saw a metallic purple RV8 one outside Peninsula's near Sidmouth, Devon, there's the light blue RV8 one currently for sale (Perry), one of the ex Colin Blower cars? (a black one with an AJP8) belonging to another Grant from the London'ish area, and the one I'm converting (ex- Sir Tiff Needell / Colin Blower AJP8 powered car). I'm sure there are other's out there, but I've had a lot of trouble finding them. Anyone else out there want to own up to owning one?

What happened to Tim Lamont's (from ACT) old one? He had a blue RV8 one built by Streber Motorsport several years ago. It went hill climbing straight after that but not sure where it went from then on...?

If there is a head count going on ....Russ Hughes car ..The VERY first Tuscan converted for the road by Russ and myself (during the second season of racing) now resides on the other side of the pond.

I remember it well. I've got video footage of one of the acceleration tests at Zolder in '91: Russ in the Tuscan and you in your Turbo. Amazing cars - you could hear the wheelspin from the Tuscan in third gear, in the dry!

My most amazing 3rd gear 'moment' was it wagging it's tail going onto the back straight at silverstone and Russ Wood shouting yahoo! as I caught it....Adrian@

Oh great, I'll have to tell him. We were talking about it the other week and he was saying how he would love to know where it went. I've just got him to knock me out a new carbon dash for mine from the mould he used for the one you now have, hence why it came up!
