Tuscan/Cerbera babies seats aarrgghh

tting my pants but quite happy (it'll takes months to conceive she said - 3 weeks later.....)
anyway
my lovely Tuscan has 2 seats and my nagging conscience is telling me I need to go for something with enough room for all of us. We have other cars but the TVR is not going to get the use unless we can all get in.
do people trade er up er to a Tuscan from a Cerbie? or is the swapping type route madness?
is there some conceivable way to get a baby seat into a Tuscan - then at least I can keep it for another year.
or do I bite the bullet - sell when the weather gets nicer and search a Cerbera out then.

I think it's ok to put a child seat in the front of a Tuscan. Thats what i was planning to do when my wife was pregnant. However we were informed soon afterwards she was expecting twins so that idea was blown out the window. The end result was that now I am in a Cerbera and the boys now aproaching 6years old love going out in the Cerbera and fit just fine in the back although I think it will be a bit tight in a few years.
So one child yea I think its okay to put child seat in the front, but better wait until youve Mrs has a scann you never know you might just be having 2
then it's time for a Cerbera.

If you want to keep the Tuscan for "selfish" one up use - there's always that option.
I've got two small kids: initially I was looking to buy a Tuscan but realised that I'd hardly ever get to use it - and that I thought I'd use a Cerbera more. I was dead right - put approx 7000 miles on the Cerbera in my first year of ownership - lots of them were as a family. The kids love going out in the Cerb and the Recaro Start child seat fits fine (this is from todder upwards). You may have some difficulty getting a rear facing baby seat in the back - you may be better off having the missus in the back and the baby up front to start with!
You wouldn't regret buying a Cerb - superb cars and the boot is also big enough for most single pushchairs.

I'm in exactly the same situation. Been thinking about an Evo IX, but not special enough to replace a TVR. Also thought about Cerbera, though i didn't really want something more expensive to run than my Chimaera. But all the other performance cars i've considered could cost just as much to run (911, Maserati 4200, Skyline etc).
A BMW E39 M5 (with the V8) is a possibility or if funds allow, maybe the V10 E60 M5, but these can have loads of problems too, especially Vanos and SMG gearboxes.
So the only car i could replace my Chimaera with that fits my criteria of fast, good sound, special, 4 seater and within my budget is a Cerbera!

Have been scouring the adds for suitable Cerb replacement but I just love the Tuscan too much to want to part with it...........................................
unless someone has a late low mileage speed six 4.3 Cerb they are looking to offload!!!

If the Cerbera is not the main car, I don't see that it couldn't be used to transport the family around for "fun" days out.... there's enough room for two parents plus one or two children, and there is room in the boot for a single pushchair.However, let's be (slightly) realistic here, even though some do use the Cerb as a main car, lots of short runs around town, to and from Tesco etc isn't going to do it much good and could also be quite expensive (fuel, servicing, lots of cold starts and short journeys etc).....
Therefore there are two other options:
1. Buy the Cerb anyway, and also buy a £500 - £2000 family car for general running about.... something like a Ford Focus or Mondeo for the general crap to be hauled about in, trips to the tip, Tesco, in the snow and salt etc; or
2. I like the idea of the E39 M5 - about 400bhp, sensible large saloon, lots of fun when on own yet very civilised when with the family. I've always wanted to have one of these model M5's, having owned an E39 535i V8 model for a few years....
