so much for my boxing day "run"

had been invited out on a run for boxing day (today)

so yesterday i made sure i had everything sorted


battery charged - check!


tom tom charged and ready - check!


car washed - erm no point


fueled - check

stay with me


tottered down the end of the garden to the garage, flicked the button for the roller shutter

it slowley unwound as usual, revealing this!!!

its the fg neighbours fg loudmouthed, obnoxious friends rusty piece of st still parked there still, after he said he was going xmas evening so i said thats no problem as parking down our road can be a nightmare in the hollidays,i explained i am going out very early boxing day, "no worries ill be gone, im going away"

knocked on the door of my neighbour, he comes to the door and says his she of a mate popped over to friends of his last night and did'nt come back

im fg and am going mad!!


i hope the local chavs dont find the petrol i keep in the outbuilding

can i do that on private land, he is tecnicaly there by invitation but should have been gone by now, if its still there tomorrow and its ok i will get it towed.

my main point is though is that even if i did jump staight on on the phone to try to get it shifted i would prob still be waiting now and have missed the start of the run

The Police would be reluctant to get involved. I had this happen to me once. i phoned the police when someone blocked my drive. They turned up,and said that i still had some room to manouvre. Well i could but only if i took the side of the car out.Went across to get my Defender. Stuck a rope on the offending car and pulled it in to the middle of the road,pulling the bumper off the car in the process. I then went out in the TVR. On my return the car was gone. It had been towed away by the Police,as it was causing an obstruction.

good news is the tt obviously surfaced while i was out and its now gone, still missed out on a good day though.

the usual rule of thumb is if you cant get back into your drive then they arent interested, but if you cant get out then thats a different matter.
