Has anyone converted a SP6 to LS yet?

I heard some talk back in the summer about some cars Tuscan, T350 and Cerb being converted , but did it happen? I haven't seen any posts about it for a while.

I have not long bought a SP6 Cerb and i would be interested in knowing if there was a working alternative to a SP6 rebuild if the unfortunate event of needing a rebuild ever arose.

I have to say though that a proper working SP6 is a fantastic engine and I would have no problem going for a rebuilt SP6 via somewhere like TVR Power etc but I was just wondering if there was a proven alternative?

the question was has anyone actually DONE a S6 to LS swap. I am not sure of the status of the various LS conversions that Steve is working on but I thought there were all V8 swaps.

what about the Racing Green finger follower free engine?

Havent heard much about it for a while, but look like an ideal alternative to me.

Yea the Racing green Finger follower free is another nice SP6 based option. I was just wondering if anyone had replaced the SP6 from say a Tuscan, T350 or Speed Six Cerbera with an LS engine and was using it sucessfully. Everything I seem to read about is V8 to LS conversion.

I'd suggest it's irrelevant what engine was taken out by Steve as the chassis is the same in both the S6 and AJP versions of the Cerb, so I'd suggest the answer to your question is yes.

I am also interested in this - I assume no one has had it done or we would have heard of it.

Much as though the new Sp6 options sound good its still alot of money to throw at a low at the sp6.

Reduced servicing costs would soon add up if you were doing lots of miles.

As far as I am aware there is a mongrel T350 racing car with a Sagaris-like body that is running an LS engine. However, I don't know of a road-going production-spec Sagaris running one.

All the racing Sags have gone the LS/AJP8 route, that says it all really.

I was buying a Factory Sag (until the deal fell through) and was going to stick a LS in it and Topcats were going to do the work.

There's a road legal orange Sagaris near exeter it does indeed look rather nice and it goes well.

The chassis are different on the AJP and S6 Cerbs.

Really? I stand corrected then, I understood they were all the same, what is the difference?

They are deffo different. As far as I understand it the chassis rails under the bonnet are closer together on a S6.

didn't mean for that to come across as a Topcats car it's just I was going to get Topcats to do mine.

I just posted the pic to prove it can be done.
