is it possible to even ship a tvr to the States, just wondering.

You can ship almost anything, it's the DMV that is the problem. (registration in your state)

well could u get it legally licensed for use on public roads and stuff. how hard would that be?

Legally, almost impossible.
I beleive there is a Griff that was in FL, it's possible that was registed as an old griff, likewise the same could be done with a tuscan 'cos there was a tuscan made before.
There's always dealer tags! That would be the easiest way and sorta legal, which is nice.

Hello fella's. Toying with the idea of taking my Griff 400 to the States this year for the Woodwork event in New Jersey in October and have been informed that no problems shipping in and using on the roads for a short period of time. Cost of shipping pending on how many cars going range from about £700 to £1200 and it takes about 3 weeks whilst we take the plane in 8 hours

There's a lad, can't remember who, that was in with Joolz a little while ago going through the servicing of a Cerbera as he was taking his to the US for a year for a driving holiday.
I think Faisel also has a Cerb over there or used to.

Looked at it myself for my Chim. Was quoted £735, $75 handling fee at the other end and $150/250 Customs papers' fees if you get their Agents to sort them out. Decided not to do this due to likely insurance and servicing issues during a two year work posting, hence it will be for sale soon

Will be saving up for a 350C/T for when we get back - off to Racing Green for a test drive soon

Why not buy one that's already there, assuming you don't mind a pre-1987 model.
