Those TVR owners out there who do track days would you consider taking paying passengers?.... Not owning one of Backpools finest i'm not able to enjoy the sound and speed other than the odd occasion that one comes blasting past me !! So if any of you do track days at the likes of Brands, Silverstone, Sneterton etc. would you consider taking a passenger for several flying laps if they helped to defray the costs?.............

Personally I would not charge, just grab a lid and hop in, saftey forms, disclaimers filled in etc.
PS have to kick the wife out first
PPS I refere to the one and only track day I have attended where other people hopping in had already paid so the above comment may not be right

Most people on track days will take you as a passenger (if they have a spare seat) as lot as you have a skid lid and have signed your life away on a disclaimer. No one would expect to be paid. You might be on dodgy ground legally if you charge for rides.

JMORGAN /TVR MARK - sorry guys forgot that the TVR boys are a generous bunch !! Do either of you plan on going to any track days in the near future? If so any chance i can balg a ride (that also goes to anyone else who reads this thread ) I spent some time as a passenger in a Tuscan Challenge with Michael from the TVR Centre and am totally hooked !!! - not that i'm expecting anyone to thrash their pride and joy in quite the same way as Michael !!

Never been offered money to take somebody for a spin (sic) but sometimes feel people would be willing to pay to get out afterwards?

I had a spare seat for a few go's as the wife was off in the griffs and chims. Apparantly my 350 wasn't good enough.
Have to get mine a bit less loud first, 2 tyres (just bought 230 squid) and an engine service, then hopefully to Penninsular for a check and mech service. Just moved house and managed to keep the car (bought it as soon as we knew we were moving )

Just turn up with a helmet, sign up for the disclaimer and wander around the paddock as the cars are lining up for their turn Most will say yes if you have a spare seat. Don't offer to pay, maybe offer to buy them a beer afterwards on the way home.

The Croft trackday (May 17) is particularly friendly for that, and I know that one chimaera will have a spare seat for most of the day as the wife won't be there this year.

Cheers fellas - I will definitely go along to the Croft track day, cloth cap in hand and on bended knee begging to be hurled round the track
I'm planning to go to most of the Tuscan Challenge events, does anyone know if they do rides round the circuit in a two seater or the like????????...

I will be at Croft , you can have a seat with me if you wish. Then again you could have to many seats to choose from.
No beer or payement just bring your lid and sign up .

They didn't last year. The nice chaps at Countdown Developments (www.cdlracing.com) have a two seater Tuscan that they use for promotional work though. You might need to 'influence' their racing budget to blag a ride though
