TVR S bonnet fixing

When I opened the bonnet of my S4c yesterday the hinge mounting came away from the bonnet!The hinge itself seems ok but was attached to a rusty gunge! I figure the hinge is fastened to a 'T' shaped bracket - drilled to take the hinge - which is glassed to the bonnet. Is this so? How easy to remove bonnet? Thanks!

S4 may be completely different but this is an S3 hinge, it is bolted to a piece of plywood, bonded into the bonnet.




They are normally bolted to the outside face of the wood, I turned mine around to shorten the pivot bolt hopefully making it a little less "flexible" !

Thanks for photo will compare tomorrow. Wish my chassis etc were as shiney as yours.
