Well a New Year, and another convoy... it's that time of the month again..!

As has become a bit of a custom for the Mid-Essex meet, I'll be running the "usual" convoy again... Sunday 11th January from the White Hart in Chelmsford!

As usual, the plan is to meet from 11am... grab a quick drink and then leave at 11:45 SHARP to head over to Great Totham for the meet itself (note this is a tiny bit later as we beat Yellow Peril to the meet last time!!!

I had hoped to have a new route sorted... and although I've got a decent run, I have not been able to find a suitable meeting place just yet... so hopefully we'll be OK for next month!

For those who haven't joined the convoy before.. come along, it's a bit of a laugh rumbling through some of the local villages... and it sounds awesome too!

So, post here if you're going to join the party... and if you need more details about the Mid-Essex meet, then drop Yellow Peril a line...

Alf Essex, are you doing the run from Southend way as per usual?

So, post up if you're coming along.. and hope to see you on Sunday... and fingers crossed for some decent weather!

Hi Paul,

I'll be there if I can get the car started! First time it has let me down completely, it has flooded and dispite drying the plugs refuses to fire.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Paul

Podie, going to the Autosport event at the NEC on Sat so if I can get out of the hotel bed in time  (well you know what it's like on a sat night in BHAM ) then I'll try and meet you there or at the golf club.

Cerb would have been freshly serviced then

Local women for local people eh?? You reckon they're ready for a Greek Londoner with an East End accent driving a very noisy TVR?

Off topic but is anyone else going to the show at the NEC this Sat?
Any convoy's being arranged?

My Cerb still isn't sorted. If it's back in time I'll be there, if it's not then I'll video the convoy from a nice location on route. Looking for the tri-pod now!!

Count me in Podie.

If Castle's get their act together, I'll be turning up in me new Tamora!

Buying one is so easy - all you do is pop down to the local showroom to gawp at the new Sagaris, and casually mention to Pauline that you are definitely a soft-top man, and the Tamora is starting to grow on you. Next, Pauline sneaks behind the counter and grabs a set of keys, ignoring protestations of "don't be daft, I can't afford it".
Before you know it, you're sitting in it thinking "yeah, I like this", while Pauline arranges finance: "Simple - you sell your S to Paul, and use your Ducati as part exchange - sold, easy!"

She even tried to get me to respray it Spectraflair Silver, but I had to draw the line somewhere

So look out for me in a met. grey Tamora, with red roof.

Oh, there was just one thing - Pauline, could you lend me £25K

I'll be there!

Is anyone meeting at J26 of the M25 beforehand?

Will be going to the Autosport show on Saturday as well, but probably won't be staying up there.

Excellent news on the Sagaris! Not sure I want one now - they're going to become rather common!

I should think a 10:30 meet would do the job nicely.

Tops off if it's dry .

Oops - I haven't really bought it - it was just a joke, but if you didn't see Pauline in action on Saturday, it might not be so obvious if you read my thread too quickly!

Nope, the Tamora is still safe if you want it - I shall be in the convoy in my S3 as usual (unless that £25k emerges!!)

Truth be known, I think I'd get a Chimaera if I was upgrading - I think I just prefer the older models for looks/V8 sounds.

(Although if Pauline susses that my S plus Ducati will almost pay for a Chim, she'll be chasing me round the Foresters carpark next week)

p.s. JayJay

If you are going to get that one, and saw it on a dry day, you might not have seen the condensation 'issues' to sort inside the headlight domes!!

Being optimistic here... may be like the Ford Puma.. they mist up until you get going, and then there is some airflow from behind and they demist....
