Hello you tvr nuts. I am looking to buy a tvr for my next car but I am wondering which one to buy is the 4.5 Cerbera more reliable than a early Tuscan.

I have £25000 to send. I would prefer a Tuscan but I know the early ones had engine trouble.

What are your thoughts.

I'd say the Cerby, if for no other reason thatn it's been out longer and had a chance to get its niggles sorted. Oh, and it has the correct number of cylinders

Was in the exact same position as you 6 months ago. I picked the Cerby as you're getting a more mature car for the money - one that's had a lot of the development work and niggles ironed out. Plus it doesn't seem to shed residual value quite so quickly!

I decided against the £3k or so premium for a 4.5 and got a 4.2 instead, meaning I had plenty of money for new wheels, sports exhaust, nose job (for the car ), and money left over in case of problems. There's no real difference in performance, either, although better brakes is never a bad thing!

Sounds sense to me, I think that the longer models have been around means a better sorted car, in the most.

James agree with you on the bits and bobs, sometimes it is worth showing the 4.5 engine bay, as that always makes me smile.

Seriously though folks... he does have good reason... I er thought my back end was pointing slightly further round than it actually was when I used the right foot to swing the Griff round and was mortified when JS told me I'd put a nice random pattern of stone chips across his newly sprayed front nearside corner....

then I actually saw then in real life

I am soooo sorry and he won't even let me pay towards a respray.

Spain was cool thanks...er, or rather it wasn't We were really lucky with the weather again and as it was a bit breezy on the beach I looked like I'd been out for two weeks after the first day really missed not having the Griff down there though...

as the EuroHoon is so expensive, I'm seriously considering a drive down to Spain again, this time ferry to Santander or Bilbao, drive across Spain along the Pyrenees, then down the East coast via Barcelona and along the coast road, not just hammering it down the autovia. We'll see

Yeah, it is looking a bit too pricey. If you've got enough space at your place, do you fancy arranging a BurrianaHoon instead? Or would you get upset at people not keeping up?
