follow up to 'Are Griffs reliable?'

I bought my Griff a couple of months ago. (from Fernhurst with warranty)......and I just went off around Europe in it.

Dover - Calais - Troyes (FR), Verbier (Swz), Stuttgart (Ger), Marranello (IT), Monaco, Antibes, Dijon, Calais......Guildford.......

over 3000 miles.....got up to some decent speeds on the Autobahn........did the Fauka pass and the Stelvio pass

and what went wrong?! The huge list is below.............

1. O/S cooling fan stopped working on the last day....caused me minor concern as it was 35Degrees in Lyon traffic, but car didn't overheat - and I just managed it home to blighty

2. er......the horn stopped working - but that was in UK before I left......

3. .....nothing

How impressed am I!? Gutted a forked out 80 quid for that special AA cover!! :-) oh, and i have spare parts in the garage for the future

So thanks Fernhurst (Simon) for selling me a very good car!

fking great cars. Mine will never be for sale.

as I was coming down the Stelvio pass........with the rev limiter screaming.......it did occur to me that it is the responsibility of true petrol heads to ensure these cars live on.

They are not allowed to be made now.......too loud, too powerful, too dangerous blah blah, don't crumple properly if you run someone over etc etc

I will keep mine running until the day I die to stick two fingers up at the PC world

I have a 450 chim , and have covered about 6K miles since buying it 2 years ago, broken bits - oil pressure sender £47 to replace. on the way to chatsworth this year while stuck in roadworks the fans did not click in, just a loose connector block which I fixed while waiting for the lights to turn green.

Most expensive bits - about 2K of petrol ( but what fun burning it)

TVR --- great looking cars amazing sounds and performance most can only dream of.

Done Similar miles last year through France ,The Alps and down to Monaco and back in the Griff, only think that went wrong was a manifold gasket blowing ...which i could live with
