Now before I start, I have to lay down a few liners.

I used to have a souped up Renault 5 Turbo (190Bhp at wheels. (Went like shit off a shovel, but was nothing more than a tin can on wheels, regular mid 13's/low 14's on the drag strips)...That was me first car, my Chim 400 is now my second car (I consider it a very big step up in power).

Now I know some people are totally agaist Halford bolt-on cars, that they say are driven by spotty teenage kids (Ahem... I know a few 40ish owners though), but I just recieved some .mpgs from a mate...

It contains a golf (souped up) thrashing the hell out of a porsche 944, also a various races between a
360 v Skyline
360 v 911 Turbo
911 v Skyline
and more

...in a straight line....

if you guys are interested in seeing these mpegs, just post a reply up...and I'll go and stick them up on a server and post the URL here on pistonheads...

COOL !!!!????

Perhaps the distinction should be made. Personally I'm not against modded cars. I'm against poor taste and beanies with heavily kitted up cars and 950cc engines.

Bring em on !!!

Sorry about the late hour, but I've been organising a TVR meet down the pub - honest (and if you saw how many typos I've had to correct - you would believe me!)

so while we're all here.. Saturday.. had 3 friendly enough short sessions with 1. a white 911 turbo 2. BMW coupe of some sort 3. Impreza (blue as ever). Results... 911: all got very very silly for about 2 minutes. I was on my way to work & not in the best mood as well. He finally withdrew his challenge, thankfully. Cheerful enough wave. Impreza: finally sussed it couldnt outdrag me (having caught him up), so it pulled into clear LH lane & floored it (I assume floored it - a good fun tactic having pulled over) just to see what Blackpool's horses could do. No sweat. BMW: All sorts of grief. Bloody germans. He only ever saw the back of me (I started in front), but was always there.

Won't say the road as you never know..

Regards
Ed

ps just to clear the record none of the above actually really happended of course. No really. And if it did all the speeds suggested here were below 25mph. Good.

You naughty boy....

I commute in my Chim to london 4 times a week, and I always get hassle off BMW driver. Z3 and M3 to be precise....

M3 usually give me a run (only got a 4litre Chim), up to about 80ish, then its bye bye german...mobile

I did get trashed by an Audi A6 (i think, its huge in size)...on my way to plymouth... pulled up an the same petrol station, and the guy had about 15k worth of engine upgrades on it...He passed my a 1** mph like I was standing still, it was delimtted and he said he had got 190+ from it, told him about pistonheads, so if u here today mate, make yourself heard...
