Hi all, My friend is having the stonechips on his T350 done which is Rosso Pearl and they have told him the paint is no longer available?? Any ideas/solutions.... Many Thanks
I thought it was not that it was no longer used, rather it is not used as not all that good. the next shade up is Jaguar colour which is slighltly lighter. Rosso pearl is not used as it had something to do with it going "flat after a few years due to being water based or something.
Didn't know they were using Rosso Pearl so late! My 97 Chim had a tiny scratch caused by my neighbour's shoddy reversing, and nobody could guarantee a seamless spray job owing to the fading nature of RP. Neighbour's insurance had to cover a full respray in Red Glow Pearl instead!
I had to have my Cerbera resprayed after a small shunt and it was sprayed in a Rover colour - Red Glow Pearl rings a bell. Apparently TVR were told not to put Rosso on production cars as it would fade badly - mine turned to a soft red (pink) shade!!
I had a quote for my slightly pink in places chim from someone who has painted a few tiv's in his time. He said 'Lazer Red' was the same as Rosso Pearl and won't fade, but I can't remember which manufacturer uses it. Might be Mazda.
