Insurance for a chimera

Hi guys im getting a chimera in a couple of weeks time and was wondering if there are any specialist insures i can try. Im 23 and i was originally going to go for a traders policy but have found out that they wont cover tvr's so im going to have to try and find a policy for the car. The car of course will be on very limited mileage as it will only be used on a sunny weekend so it probably wouldnt do much more than 2000 miles a year so that should help.

Any advice would be great.

If it's a second car and garaged, I found Hagerty the cheapest.
Classicline prices have come down lately too. Both good companies to deal with.

Just done the Tam, Hagerty were best by a long stretch, flux were a joke despite offering dicount to TVR drivers??? Not nessasary to keep the car in a garage, they apply a higher xs of £350 if its kept outside.

i hear on the Wizards of Nos forum that Flux will cover cars with nitrous oxide fitted. I use nitrous at the drag strip and would be interested in cover if its possible. Think my renewal is about 6 weeks away.

i just got a quote from msm for 570quid for bein 21 with 4 years no claims, that to me is a BARGIN! again flux were no use along with lancaster and a few others!

The worked out best for me at £295.

Thats for a 1998 4.0 with me being over 40 and 5+ yrs NCB.

Worth a try I would think.

ok bit more about my quote

im 21, dont have any no claims bonus (due to classic policys) but aslong as i provide a letter from the insurers stating that i was insured with them with dates stating i had no claims theyll accept that.

3k miles a year
garaged
in a average area.
FC
4.0l chimeara

570 or so with 4 years no claims
740 with 3 years
or 1200 with no NC

she did say that as i get older it will keep going down till im 30.
and that was with msm http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/ very friendly and helpfull and the prices for me were just unbelievable!
