fitting slightly larger tyres

The tyres on the front of my cerb are 235 35 17. I am wanting to fit Vredestein Ultrac's as I have heard these are very good. However the closest size is 235 40 17. Will they be ok? or will it knock everything out of kilter?

as long as you replace a pair (front or back) I dont see any problem

I've gone up a profile (35 to 40 rear and 40 to 45 front) with R888's which have a very square shoulder on them. Each tyre rubs somewhere. The rear left very badly. Both fronts make contact under fast sharp cornering. I think it will depend on your ride height and how well the body was fitted!

I have just looked again at my tyres and they are actually 235 40 17. I miss read them, so I will have no problem getting the tyres that I want.

Will be using those myself next time round to see what they're like, though my T1R's are superb I have to say
