Anyone seen "SWORDFISH" ? (Great TVR chase scene)

John Travolta starring as SWORDFISH, in the movie by the same name, jetting around in a great chase scene in a new TVR, which unfortunately appears to obtained at least a scratch on it, ouch! This movie came out in 2001, but recently showed for the first time on US TV and I saw it the other night. I recommend it on every count, great spy flick, and of course, the chase scene in the TVR is superb, and it lasts for quite a long time, not just a fleeting moment.

I think you would be better asking "who hasn't seen Swordfish?"

In fact, one of the original Swordfish cars was at Black Tie and Pie last month, owned by, not surprisingly "swordfish"

Saw "Swordfish" as soon as the video came out, and I purchased it and have watched it several times. Great
action movie and the scenes with the TVR aren't bad
either.

well I guess I'm a little under-socialized, a day late, and a dollar short on the movie circuit. I generally see the movies when they burn out in the cinema and end up on public TV :-)

I did enjoy the flick though, pretty much fun.

And, as you've raised the subject of this one again, how come the chase scene lasts so long. Surely the Tuscan should have been able to neatly outrun those armoured jeep thingamybobs?

Somehow my Swordfish DVD ended up in my PC and as if by magic, digitally converted the Tuscan scene to a WMV and uploaded itself to my server. Don't know how that happened...

Not really your fault, they pulled it both here and in the US as it was thought to be too close for comfort after Sep 11. I got to see it on the big screen but only cos I was quick!

When I saw the movie, there where two things about the Tuscan Scene that are somehow ... hmmm... wrong.

1.) shouldn't it be an easy thing for a Tuscan to escape from two WAN's ? ... okay, lets asume he stuck in 2nd gear ... still ... hmmm, the Tuscan should have let them stand.

2.) aren't modern TVR's made of Fiberglas. Strange thing, the shot-holes look like it would be metal, shouldn't fiberglas break into peaces instead?

I was more impressed when John Travolta ducked behind the boot to shield himself from bullets. Bullet proof Tuscan!!
