I don't live anywhere near Dorset, but a guy that works in my office does and he came over and had a moan at me today...

He said he took the family out to a local pub for lunch yesterday and was fuming as the whole place was wall to wall TVRs as the TVR car club where there. I got "Couldnt even get a table!" "Bloody noise!" "All whittering on about 18" wheels at de-catts!"

I trust you Dorset guys had a good time?

I travelled down from Bristol to the Dorset meet. They seem to be a friendly bunch. Yes it certainly was a good turnout and there was plently of lively nattering going on.

The car-park had a lot of TVRs in it including a pair of the loudest Tuscans......

One Tuscan was wearing the wildest paint job I've ever seen on any car. You know the paint that changes colour depending on how you look at it - well this was in two bright and clashing colours.

Plus another Tuscan with a very loud set of pipes - though it sounded more Japanese than TVR.

There would have been one more Tuscan there if it wasn't still in the garage

I get it back tomorrow though

I have forwarded you comment on pistonheads to Paul S as he may wish to comment on your desription of a (his ?) tuscan. Perdsonaly I think they sound pretty good accelerating from roundabouts and nothing like anything Japanese I have heard !

Before any more of you take exception.....

If you have ever compared the sound made by a Ducatti and a Kawasaki, you will know exactly what I mean. Both Ducatti and TVR make my spine tingle - but I'm sorry, the loud pipes on that Tuscan did absolutely nothing for me.

They were just - ummm - loud

Enjoyed the day very much, thanks for the hospitality.

Tuscans seem to sound good at full bore but for crusing around, you can't beat a Rover V8 with a sports exhaust

See, we WILL turn TVRs to the dark side.
