Too many models!
Discussion
This is getting out of hand, I can't keep up. Every time I log on there's another TVR model a bit different from the last one.
In about a year there's been:
T350C - OK, I can grasp that one.
T350T - as above but with funny roof panels
T400 - as above but with bigger engine
T440 - as above but with bigger engine
T440R - as above but with bigger engine and an 'R' on the end.
T550 - as above but with bigger engine
Sagaris - as above but with extra slots pack
Typhon - probably one of the above but not sure
R&D is great but they ought to pick one!

T550 has certainly never officially been talked about, and is probably the product of enthusiastic PH gossip.
So, to summarise for you:
T350C/T - road going coupe based on Tamora chassis
Sagaris - race derivative of T350 to provide homologation for TVR Challenge & British GT Cup class.
Typhon - full monty carbon fibre road-going LeMans racer.
Easy eh - what's the problem.
I would see this as a concern...
The company I work for went through something similar a few years ago, we were launching new machines at the same rate.
What this gave was a very thin spread of resources and support facilities.
Recently we have rationalised our product range to focus more on the customer and their needs..
We do however develop innovative and novel if you call it that products for niche markets where there is a difinitive requirement.
Where is TVR's focus..??

Tamora, Tuscan, T350 & Sagaris all share the same basic chassis and engine. Typhon has a further development of the same chassis.
Clearly the AJP8 and Cerbera are't long for this world....

Not just gossip, it was actually listed for sale on the TVR DE (www.tvrdeutschland.de/) Site complete with spec as an official model for a while.. however it mysteriously vanished one day..
Cheers

Thanks JeremyC for clearing that up succinctly. Seems that half the problem is caused by them announcing a model with a number, then later naming it. It just doubles the confusion. A useful dividing line, too, would be between road cars and racing cars.
I do think that TVR must be stretching themselves to produce so many variants, especially when a high proportion of them never really make it to see daylight. Racing can't be cheap either.
I was criticisng Jaguar for making beautiful concept cars but never putting them into production. TVR seem to do the reverse - every design thought appears in a handful of cars before it's repaced by the next. Or so it seems.
One point that might concern TVR, but won't, is that I'm a more-than-enthusiastic and educated TVR owner and follower of PH, and I can't keep up with the plot. Joe Possible-Buyer has no chance.
If you've got a bag of diamonds, feed them into the market slowly - don't flood it!

I see your point... but Joe Public only gets to know when the models hit the streets (as that is when they see them)... it's only the hardcore fans that keep looking at all the prototypes.
..and if you can't keep up, it's related to the fact that you're getting on a bit!

True, I hadn't seen them as prototypes or mere concept cars. Have to let it all shake out I guess.
