Mark Adams chips?

Had mine done at his tuesday session at Power Engineering in Uxbridge during the summer.
Gained
1. a thorough analysis of my engine by a leading V8 expert
2. rectification of any gaps/flatspots in the power curve
3. adjusted fuel mixture & timing
4. a MUCH smoother running car
5. a much smoother power curve
6. peace of mind that all was as it should be
7. any subsequent advice or help from Mark that I have requested
Cost
1. I don't have costs to hand, but I had a new & re-mapped chip + rolling road analysis + Marks time, all for about £750-800

Quite correct Podie old love, a 4.0 HC - which can be a bit lumpy (and it was before Mark worked on it).
Don't have the figures to hand, but I gained about 11-15 bhp - which wasn't that important to me. The engine had a pretty high torque reading anyway and I would have traded bhp for smoothness.
The most important thing was it was a much better car to drive afterwards.
The main thing is that Mark asks you want you want, & doesn't just tell you what he is going to give you.

The MA chip is well worth it, mine gained about 10 bhp I think, the chip is not about big power gains, its more about improving the driving experience. Mark Adams sets the fueling map up right so the car is sooooooo smooth and consistent throughout the rev band. The big diff I noticed with mine ('97 Chim 500) was that it used to run out of steam at 5K revs, but with the chip it screams to the 6250 revs limiter like the fury 
The cost of the rolling road, chip, and MA's time was around £800.
If you can I would recommend getting one of the ACT induction kits whether it be the Al one (I got this), or the carbon fibre one - they make a massive difference; make the car breath much better
Magnecor leads help the smoothness too. Mark will try to sell you a Bosch coil, its not a scam, the standard ones are proper poo, mine had been on for only 2,000 miles and was rattling already. Cost of coil is around £50 if I remember right, and no reported probs with them AFAIK.
