I use Optimax because of the increased performance in my Chim and the smoother running. Don't expect one fill-up to make much difference, it will be diluted by the last fuel. I suggest you try Optimax over a longer period and make sure the ignition timing has not been retarded to cope with the wank 95 octane unleaded.
Optimax claims to be the highest octane rated fuel available on the forecourts and as this claim seems to be backed up by people on this list (and the TVRCC e-mail group) who work in the industry I it's worth a try; I don't worry about mpg and that stuff on the Griff so the extra 50-60p it costs on a tank to fill up is not an issue with me. I certainly fill the Griff with it whenever possible, as there's a noticeable inporvement in the running of the engine. Some reckon there's more power - not sure whether I can make an objective judgement on this point personally - and, many say it reduces the tendency to 'pink'.
ERVERYONE I know, who's tried Optimax in their TVR has had something positive to say.
Don't know & don't care about the fuel economy!
