£2,880 for a 6000 miles service???
What kind of crook is that dealer?
Did they dare to charge you for cleaning the lights?

He's got a grand's worth of tyres at dealer prices in there + the a/c units are not cheap if something big needed replacing. Add in £500+ for the service itself, labour for doing the lights and you get pretty close to this price.

OK, but then I don't think it's a good idea to buy tyres from the dealer
I really don't understand the cleaning the lights...aren't people supposed to clean their cars themselves?????

At the bottom of the TVR service schedule is "Clean Car" so it should be in the service price...
Cheers
Matt.

Sorry, I think "cleaning the lights" is a bit misleading. The front and back had to be resealed due to condensation, but the front light reflectors had to be cleaned due to flys somehow being able to get in there. Hence many dead bodies after the summer. As for the price, it seems resonable for the work carried out, but, as a student, it was a bit of a shock!!

Buying on Fri 13th worried me for, oh, about 2 seconds, but I'd wanted the Cerb for so long, I wasn't prepared to wait 'til Sat 14th. The date made no difference though, it has to be the best purchase I've ever made, haven't looked back!

When I bought the Cerb, I hadn't a clue about the expenses I would incur. Perhaps finding this site sooner would have enlightened me. But then again, if I'd read about poor guys like mycerbera before hand, it may have put me off buying it!!
I maintain that the feeling and reactions I get whilst driving it are well worth the cash

Juts,
I know what you mean...whatever the horror stories concerning the service bills I've read here, the Cerb is very much definitely my ultimate fantasy car
If you say it's worth every penny, that's much rejoicing

Please promise me you don't buy your tyres at the dealership anymore ...

Thom,
The tyres were only £140-160 each, which seems fairly representitive of the usual price. But thanx for the concern.
If ever you're in Wales you'll have to let me know and I'll take you for a blast around the Welsh countryside, I'll even let you take the wheel providing you don't hit any sheep.

Juts,
Very kind from you, but I guess you offer me a drive because I'm 1,000 miles away.

Hey Ceberas 1,
I live in Pembrokeshire, I only know of one other Cerbera in S.Wales. Do you fancy meeting up some weekend? I know Cowbridge fairly well.
